The evening heat rolls over the crowded market. The myriad of smells of the market permeate everywhere. Fresh desert flowers, baked goods, roasting meat, pungent civilians, hot metals to the vile festering sewers are fighting for dominance in the air. The shops are a buzz down the cramped street.
New shops that come and go in the market are always trying to compete against the established merchants who either run the competition out of town or squash them with better prices and higher quality merchandise. New vendors have set up shop despite the uneven dealings of the merchant guilds and the streets are full of quaint little gems waiting to be discovered.

Illyon leads the Succubus to an established, well-to-do shop. Selected slaves stand outside, displaying themselves to the best of their advantage. To judge from the circles under their eyes and hollowness of their cheeks, they've been at this for days.
"This is Master Rikter's primary shop," he murmurs to Valentine as they enter. "While he is one of my competitor's, the quality of his merchandise can't be disputed." He waves his hand to the better rested and fed slaves that lounge in the front, each displayed to their advantage. "They're trained in pleasing a number of demons, Leccubi among them."

Valentine takes in the slaves outside silently, her gaze skipping from shadow ringed eyes to sunken cheeks. As they enter she nods to show she has heard the Marquis.
"I see," She replies, her voice only audible to him because of his nearness. "I suppose these indoors are the more valuable then?" Her golden eyes move over the merchandise pinning selected ones with their intensity as she looks them over.
