Valentine laughs softly. "I wear underwear, Master Elite all they'd see is a bit of skin and a little lace. If such a sight will inflame them.. well..." She laughs again, low and husky, before sobering.
"But really Master Elite, it's naive of you to envy my "freedom". Everyone serves someone else, even your master has his... The city and country spread out below us controls his every action. Even if if it's not obvious. I too have my masters." She says it matter-of-factly as if it a simple truth.

His eyes strain to his thoughts as he hears Valentine speak. He only knows of his torments and it taints his point of view.
"Then lest I am mistaken, I am but the servant of the servant of the whole of hell. With all of its demeaning properties that includes. With that authority I am but a pawn in the chess board of the damned dead and with that I must be yoked to task and weep with bended knee to its every whim as if it were my own. Perhaps that is why I feel nothing, care for nothing, have nothing save that which has been tasked to me that my life is forfeit to the will of hell itself.
He says with a steely glare to the world below them.
"If I had a heart, it would be broken. For I am not but an instrument to be used and discarded as this hell cares not for for those who toil for it's own preservation. It is fitting for it to despoil its heroes for anything other than to fulfill its endless ambitions of lust and greed and only desires to drown from within from selfish desire. It shall choke on the bitter core when it has devoured the succulent meat whole and the pit is all that remains. Forever lodged in its tightening gullet as a grim reminder that there is not left but dismay and death as it's own life dims and slips away into the darkness from wince it came and ceases to exist at all."

Tybalt flashes a smile at Arianna. "Perhaps over some drinks, Ambassador?"
He sighs at Nyxereos's warning and angles his path up. He catches part of his speech to Valentine, and repeats his sigh, rolling his blind eyes. He keeps his peace, though.

Arianna flashes a briliant smile in return "drinks would be wonderful captain, as soon as all of this unpleasantness settles we shall make it a date" she then returns her focus to the task at hand.

The enemy archers below send a wall of arrows arching high into he night sky. They fall short of the intended targets and lazily fall back toward the ground. The advancing troops of renegades are closing in on the garden hub as the army reinforcements from the palace regiment storm in from the other side. The battle becomes fierce as the opposing forces engage and the sounds of fierce battle fill the night air.

"This way captain. The terraces are not far."
Nyxereos tucks in his wings as he and Valentine swoop downward to build up speed. Black glass glitters in the moonlight as Nyxereos' powerful wings expand with mighty strokes to propel them toward the Terraces with haste. The winds softly caress them as the heat from the night air almost feels cool as it whisks by in the bright moonlit night.
As the towering walls slip by far below Nyxereos slowly descends to the upper tier of the Aristocratic residence level. The walks abandoned and fires that were lit have all burned out. The smells of war are faint but the smell of scorched bodies remain.
Nyx drifts down as his great wings beat hard to set them down softly in the ash filled grass. He releases his firm grip on the Ambassador to set her softly on her feet beside him.
"This could not be just a band of social ingrates, the ferocity and rapid expansion of this riot is far to vast and executed with too great a precision for a random attack. This uprising most certainly originated from within the Capital City's own ranks. We must proceed with extreme caution."

Tybalt smiles at Arianna, a smile that then fades at Nyxereos's directions.
"Master Nyxereos, merely because I'm blind doesn't mean I don't know where the terrace is," he replies somewhat sharply. "Twenty-three and a quarter degress to the left and at this point, about fourteen degrees above us..."
The Devil Elite continues to fly after Nyxereos, and though somewhat erratic, he never veers from the group or their path. He lands next to to the silvery Fallen, his almost draconic-shaped feet making minimal noise.
"I'd almost rather it had been social ingrates that started this mess," Tybalt replies, "looking" right and left, listening for the slightest noise. "At this point, it's going to be impossible to tell who's part of the plan and who's just a disgruntled street vendor going along with the mob."

The Ambassador frowns as they land, an expression of mingled regret and worry crossing her lovely face for a moment.
"Should we be concerned about being attacked again, Captain, Master Elite?" she asks mildly tapping a finger on her lips thoughtfully.
"I should not like to be caught unawares again."

Nyxereos scans the nearest structures for signs of movement. "Fortune favors the prepared Ambassador and I am always ready. Captain, expediency is the weapon of choice in this matter." Nyx says looking to the Ambassador's sweets and he begins to walk into the tower.
"Please stand behind me, should there be any stragglers eager to get a lucky shot off at an Ambassador in a vain attempt at glory seeking."

Valentine sighs, following Nyxereos at a good distance, far enough back that he will have plenty of room to fight if needed but not so far away that she cannot dodge behind him if she needs to. She shifts the angle of her movement to keep her heels from sinking into the turf. After a few steps she pauses.
"One moment if you would, Masters, Lady Ambassador." And she takes off her shoes carrying them both in one hand while the other lifts her skirt daintily. "Thank you, we may proceed."

Tybalt takes the rear guard, angling his clawed feet so that he's walking mostly on the balls of them, the taloned toes above the ground. His tail whips behind him, betraying both his annoyance and his anticipation. While he faces ahead, it's clear that he isn't really focusing on what's in front of him so much as keeping his senses open to what is behind.
"Good idea, Ambassador Le'Noir," Tybalt says, pitching his voice low. A small, anticipatory smirk graces his face.

A whistle can be heard piecing the air. A rustling of hurried feet scatter inside the building. A squad of demons leap up the walls attempting to make for the upper floors before the group below can make out the exact number.
A scream comes from inside and is swiftly silenced with a bloody gurgle and a dull thud. Hostages... and probably more up higher in the tower the others are sent out to secure. Clearly to counter the Elite and the Captain skills of combat by forcing a negotiation for release.
A scruffy voice calls out. "Step not further, lest we start killing more of these ambassadors."

Nyxereos stands filling up the entryway staring into the dark room. His steps stop at the demand of the voice threatening more deaths to the empire ambassadors should he not stop to negotiate. This is not his area of expertise. The fallen is grated as it is hard to pinpoint the renegades from the ambassadors as their vibrations in the stone are so close to one another. If he could only see them, snuffing the traitors out would be mere child's play. The negotiates would be swiftly dispatched without another word spoken.
"Be warned, traitors will receive no quarter. Elite do not negotiate over hostile acts to the Empire nor her servants. Your act is mere folly and your stalling is only going to expedite your inevitable doom."

Tybalt silently moves up to Nyxereos. He casually relaxes his naginata, letting the butt of the weapon tap on the ground. The soundwaves and vibrations from the tap, however, reveal to him all manner of information. The Devil Captain smirks.
"Fourteen inside," he tells Nyxereos, his voice pitched so low that only the Fallen Elite could hear him. "To judge by the positioning, four of them are our hostages, the other ten our opponents. Stall them for a few minutes, and I'll be able to tell you exactly where they're standing."

Valentine moves up to the Elite's quietly, keeping Nyxereos' bulk between herself and the tower door. Her bare feet make very little noise on the stone.
"Masters, is there a way I can be of assistance?" The succubus asks, her eyes narrowing.

Nyxereos stands squarely before the doorway as he ponders the Captain's words. He nods slightly to show his acknowledgment before he remembers the Captain is blind. He whispers, "Agreed."
At Valentines question he nods as he turns slightly to quickly whisper with her. "Can you take on the negotiation? Stall tactics are all that is required as I merely need a few moments for the Capitan to pinpoint their locations for me. If you can persuade them move about or make enough noise to pinpoint them, that would be exceptional."

"I think that can be easily done." Valentine chuckles softly and moves so that she is visible to the insurgents while keeping as close to Nyxereos as possible. She shifts slightly, drawing herself up and projecting her voice towards the dark archway.
"Masters, what possible purpose can this battle serve? If you take the lives of those you hold captive do not you think that their respective lieges should take insult? Certainly they will look less favorably at those you serve and you will be the cause. Come there must be some compromise we can achieve." As she speaks, so very reasonably, she subtly moves. Valentine is speaking with gestures as much as words and a touch of her seductive power is in each one.

From the shadows the leader speaks again. "We do not seek battle, we are in control here. Take another step and you will have a bloodbath of Ambassadorial blood on your head." he says horsely trying to sound important to Valentine.

The Ambassador inclines her head. "You are indeed in control. I do not dispute that, Masters. However," She spreads her hands wide and looks up, golden eyes sorrowful. "We must all look to the future. I cannot help but to bid for judicious foresight in the matter at hand. Pray let us consider other alternatives..."
Valentine stands gazing into the darkness and clasps her hands at her bosom her pale face grave and serious.

Tybalt cocks his head, almost bird-like. His tail ticks like a hunting cat, his wings shifting ever-so-slightly, but to those who can read the body language, the Devil captain is preparing himself for action. A none-too-small grin splits his dark face.
"Keep them talking, Ambassador," he whispers, again almost too soft to be heard. "I've almost got them..."
