The queen rushes through the door to the ballroom and skids to a stop inches from the first step- the room is fine- no damage is visible to the newly repaired floor.
She turns to look back at Khan and Ciel behind her.
"I thought-" she begins.

"My Queen?" Ciel's green eyes are confused.

Khan lands swiftly beside the Queen. "Is there a problem, Ereshkigal?" he asks, forgetting himself for a moment in his confusion and slight concern and using her name. He glances around for a moment before his gaze returns once more to the Queen. "It appears this wasn't the source of what we felt...perhaps further on?"

with a mighty crash, both rashiel and Zarek come crahsing through the glass dome set in the ceiling. Rashiel keeps his grip on zarek pushing him down hard towards the ground, although he takes a hard hit to the face. Zarek hits the solid stone floor with Rashiel on top of him, coughing blood into rashiels face from the impact. Zarek gets one knee between him and Rashiel, and pushes him off of him. they both roll away and to there feet facing each other. "I don't know what you want here, but if it is death you have come seeking, you have found it." Zarek says coldly to the other angel while wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.

Rashiel slowly comes to his feet, leaning to his left, obviously favoring that shoulder. He still smiles at Zarek as he starts to pace around him. "I did not come here seeking the great Azreal. I have come for you Zakiel. Last time I only got your wings, this time I kill you."
Rashiel pivots his hips, and swings the sword horizontal in his right hand at chest height. The flames flare out, crreating a billowing fan of flame, the stretches across the room at a 180 degree arc, aimed to catch zarek in it.

"Shit" is the only thing to come out of Khan's mouth before he leaps into the air, pulling all his power around his form to mask him from the angel's mind. He knows it probably won't completely work, but it might allow him to escape it's notice while it is focused on Zarek, just long enough to grant something of an advantage. He flies up and around, behind the angel, then swoops down, pulling out just above the ground, and barrelling towards him to slam into his left side, trying to knock him off his feet and away.

Ciel shadows to her Queen and places herself square in front of Erishkegal. More to protect her Queen than to mask her fear.
"I shall protect you Majesty."

Thane follows his ears to the ballroom shortly after Zarek and Rashiel separate from their grapple. The hound arrives just as Rashiel monologues of his mission to kill Zarek. He is surprised to see Ereshkigal, Kahn and Ciel gathered at the scene. Thane's eyes flair as the flames burst forth from the sword and the hound bounds forward to the railing next to Ghostie and Ciel. "BASTARD!" Thane barks as he looks on in his rage.

Lysandor races in just after Thane, slowing a few paces as he takes in the scene before him. His jaw clenches and he takes his place beside Thane, ignoring the water trickling down his face.
"You need to leave, Majesty," Lysandor tells the Queen. "It's not safe for you to be here . . ."

"Lysandor!" Lye enters, running, and stops so quickly that she almost trips. "Go down and help them. I'll keep the Queen safe." She turns her head to Ereshkigal with a look that says, 'What should I do?' "Ghostie?"

As the others enter Thane's flaming eyes watch as Kahn circles and sets up his attack run on Rashiel... then disappears from sight. Thane gathers up all his strength and leaps down to the polished floor and barrels toward the angel with all he can muster. Thane tucks into a ball and begins to slide easily on the smooth floor from his wet fur. Thane is hoping to take out Rashiel below the knees in time to act as a counter measure to Kahn's attack approaching blindingly fast from the opposite direction. With no legs to stand on, Rashiel would be unable to prevent Kahn from pile-driving the pompous angel into the glossy floor... like a ton of bricks.

Ciel stays firmly placed in front of Erishkegal, poised to fight if she must. She was afraid for her Queen as well as herself, but she remianed there anyway.

Lysandor edges closer towards the Angel. At the moment, he knows there is nothing he can do. But if Thane and Khan's blows land, he is prepared to attack. Chivalry and gentlemanly behavior had no place in this fight.

The Queens eyes are riveted on Rashiel and full of hate. She looks over at Lye and motions for her to hold off.
"Let the others do their work and perhaps it will be over quickly."

Kahn slams into Rashiel at the same time that Thane hits him. The force of the two collisions sends the angel flying sideways with Kahn. They both hit the ground hard and tumble.
Rashiel, caught off guard by the sudden attack from the two demons, quickly recovers himeself. Mid tumble he places his hand onto Kahn, and whispers the word "cleanse". Suddenly Kahn is engulfed in a white flame. He kicks off of Kahn, seperating them, and rolls back to his feet, sword at the ready.

Zarek unfolds his wings, spots of fire still on them. Lost in his reveries and memories, he had simply stood there when he was attacked, unable to get out of the way of the attack. He didn't even remember folding his giant wings around him to protect himself. He still saw flashes of what had happened; a battle lost, a trial; and then flashes of a burning obsidian pillar, with a sillouette standing over him and pain. A pain that did nothing but destroy every thing, block out every thought, every memory. And then a flash of maws coming down upon him and being near to death. And finally one of a savior, with old horrid wings to replace his lost ones and promises of glory.
But his moment of inaction had passed and was now replaced with anger.
"YOU!" He roared at the recovering angel. "I remember you! You are the reason I'm here, you are the reason I lost my glory and Happiness, you are the reason I'm in this Hell!!!" He charges at Rashiel with abandon, sword raised high over his head, black smoke hungerly rolling off of his blade. As he nears he lunges at the angel and pumps his wings to add to his momentum, bringing his sword down hard at the angels skull.

Rashiel brings his sword up in a hard slash with his one good arm, trying to match Zareks strength. Their swords clash together, the sound resonating through the room.
Suddenly, Rashiels Left leg gives out, sending him down to one knee. "Dammit, that mutt did more than I thought, Rashiel thought to himeself, but if it pained him at all, he did not show it as he looked up at Zarek and smiled. "Yes, captain, I betrayed you, and if you were smart you would have died out there in the outlands."
The smoke from Zareks sword and the fire from Rashiels sword mix together, each fueling the other on, showing the growing struggle between them. Rashiel could feel Zarek overpowering him as the two blades started to slowly descend towards them. Rashiel tucks his wings in close and pushes himself forward, letting the end of his blade dip behind him, making Zareks sword slide down and behind Rashiel, clipping the top of Rashiels wings. Instantly The acid takes hold and starts eating its way down through the wing, but not enough gets on it to injure it severely.
Rashiel brings the sword close to his back letting Zareks overbalanced stance bbring him tumbling into rashiel. Rashiel uses this to bring his sword up high and bring it down pummel first towards Zareks head, trying to blundgeon him.

Zarek rolls to his left, trying to get out of the way of the pummel, but being overbalanced, has to let go of his sword with his right hand and try to roll away. As he falls he brings his right wing to bear smashing the wing against rashiel like you would smash a shield into an opponent.

Rashiel takes the blow from the wing and rolls with it, moving in towards Zarek and bringing his sword in between them. He lands on top of Zarek and shoves the guard of his sword into Zareks socket, crushing his eye and blinding him. "I should have finished you off when I had the chance," He hisses into zareks face, forcing the guard in a little more. "I will enjoy hearing your screams again."

Zarek yells out with pain as he feels the pressure release as he eye tears open. Quickly he composes himself, remember the pain that this angel had brought to him before. He quickly focuses, his face changing from pain, back to hate. "This time, I shall enjoy your screams my liutenant." Zarek brings his sword, which had dropped down to Rashiels lower back in the fall, up in a swift swing severing through rashiels wing and removing it.
If that wasn't enough, Zareks shin on his right knee is shrouded in smoke for an instant and returns as a guard with a foot long wicked spike on it. Zarek kicks his knee up hard, the spike punching a hole through Rashiels breastplate and burying it up to the knee in Rashiels torso.
