Wenn stands with renewed energy, "We Shall!" he proclaims. He stands and he scurries up to Lye and holds her arm as he escorts her out of Grell's home and onto Falco's Cave. ____________________________________________
Rau Looks To Lysandor. "We Should make haste as well, Master Lysandor... we have 12 officers to interview and time grows terribly short." The brown Rachet elder says as he makes for the door. ___________________________________________
Thane and Me'Kel arrive to an almost barren sentinel's office. Thane holds the door for Me'Kel and she enters quickly. Thane looks around as he sees the Commander sitting at the main desk writing a report in the daily log. he stands to welcome Thane and Me'Kel. "As you were Commander." Thane barks, "Your hands are full enough with out having to attend to us." Thane remarks as he is entering the file vault. "But sir, I have that roster you require..." He says holding the report over his head. "Hold onto that and keep it safe while we review the Sentinel reports for the past few weeks." Me'Kel says sweetly, "Good work Commander." Thane says trying to encourage his junior officer as he begins to close the door to the Files vault. "We were never here... Is that clear Commander?" Thane says with authority in his tone. "Never where exactly sir?" The Commander replies coyly. "Exactly." Thane says acknowledging the commanders understanding of his order and closes the door tightly. Me'Kel is already elbows deep into the files as she looks to Thane "I think we are going to be here a while Thane." as she hands him a large stack of files. "I hope you brought your patience with you... it is going to be a long afternoon." She says looking overwhelmed.

Lysandor nods to Rau, and walks out of the fallen lord's home. He's as vigilant as ever, but seems slightly agitated.
"We should start with the least afflicted first," Lysandor says, "and work our way up."

Rau agrees with Lysandor by nodding his large head. "In that case we shall need to access the upper cavern floors to visit Lieutenant Worrek's home first." Rau says in a plain and solemn voice. "He has been given leave since this mess occurred and he has not ventured out much since his... affliction." Rau explains as he leads the way for the access stairs to the upper levels. Rau notices the Fallen Elite's agitation and pays it a mention, "Are you concerned about something, Master Lysandor? You appear troubled about something..." The hound wonders aloud.

Thane gives a large sigh because he is already becoming board with his task of screening the files. Me'Kel has already sorted several files and has gone for a new stack of folders to browse. "This is quite the most tedious thing I have ever had the misfortune of doing." Thane gruffs in boredom. Me'Kel looks up from her reading. "We have no time for self pity now Thane, read and learn... complain later." She says looking exasperated at the elite and she returns to the files before her. Thane looks cross as he continues his searching trying hard not to yawn from the creeping tedium.

Elder Winn scoots along at an even pace trying to keep up with Lye. "When Falco was on the council, he use to try and push for village unification." The old rachet says out of the blue. "He felt that if the villages and cites of the Rachet kingdom were to unite, he would be appointed governor of these territories under the king." Winn continues to speak fast as if he were nervous. "His ambition was strong and his influence vast but now his power wanes from him and he is a broken hound." Winn falls silent as they approach Chateau DE Falco, You see his home is a heaven for riches and elaborate carvings. A grand facade welcomes you to the Falco residence that is sculpted from beautifully rare and expensive imported stone from the far reaches of hell. The show of wealth is impressive for a private citizen especially a lord of the hounds. A young Rachet stands before the door dressed in fine clothes and looks quite regal. "Welcome Elder." The young boy says to Winn, then begins looking at Lye questionably and suddenly bows deeply and formally. "How may I help you today Lady elite?"

"It is imperative that we speak with Falco," she answers in a somewhat-polite but authoritative tone. Lye then looks to Winn, and speaks softly so that another would have to listen quite closely to hear; "So he functions with power as an ulterior motive?"

The boy motions for you to enter the grand foyer and wait while he goes to fetch his master. Winn looks to Lye with a nod affirming her statement before. "He once was a kind and giving soul, but now his thirst for power has crippled him." Winn whispers. "He seeks a way to restore his former power, but without support from the village his weakened position quells the power his wealth affords him."

"I see." She leans in closer to Winn and whispers even more softly, knowing that Rachets probably have excellent hearing. Even though they are alone in the foyer, they never know who may be listening. "So as I see it, the plan is to see if Falco had any acquaintences or allies who are or may be responsible. Or, of course, if he is responsible himself. Give me a slight subtle nudge on the knee if I start going in a bad direction; you know, something I shouldn't say or that would come back to bite us later." Lye stands upright again so that it won't be obvious that they are exchanging secret information but is ready to lean in again if he has a response.

The old rachet simply nods to Lye to show he understands his role in the interview. He smiles a nervous smile but it fades fast as he looks to the foyer doors and his ears swivel to full alert. The page returns to speak to the waiting duo. "Lord Falco will see you now, in the main study... if you will follow me." he says as he turns on his heal in a military style turn and begins to head off into the grand house.
He leads you through the house like you signed up for the silent tour, you snake through several grand rooms with remarkable stone works and wonders of gold and silver and up a flight of stairs that look like they were plucked from the movie 'Gone with the Wind' that climb into the vaulted cavernous room for several floors. The page still leads but he walks slower now to accommodate Winn becoming fatigued from the stairs and into the Study. As you enter the page stops at the door and motions for you to be seated in grand high back chairs before a grand gaudy desk made of white wood and gold everything. The masters chair at first glance resembles a throne, but to Lye it is easily noticeable that it is not just any throne... but THE throne... of Hell. It is an exact replica, but with a few of Falco's own personal adjustments, of Ereskigal's throne. The page asks shallowly as he is whisking out to close the doors. "Would my lord or lady care for any tea or refreshments while you wait for Master Falco?"

Me'Kel has finished her latest stack and has leaned back to rest her aching bones for a moment. Thane looks like he has found a hornets nest and he is shuffling files to and fro in a mad frenzy. "Thane?" Me'Kel calls to him with a worried tone in her voice. He looks up at her for a moment and returns to his cross checking, "Have you any files with this symbol in it?" Thane lifts the page from a file with an odd water marking in the script. Me'Kel looks curiously at it and she nods, "Yes I have in about 3 or 4 files... Why?... What do you find that so remarkable about that Thane?" she asks in curiosity. "I have seen it before." Thane remarks solemnly, "But never in the outlands... only in the ancient text of the city library and carved into some of the oldest buildings of hell." Thane looks back to Me'Kel, "Though I don't know what it signifies." He says as he stands. "I am through with my searching and I have some files that require more research that we shall take with us." Me'Kel nods I have some here too as she points to a large stack. "Well then, we should return to your home and scrutinize these files there." The hound yawns, "Maybe even make some coffee to drink before I nod off from the magical sleepy dust in these files. he chuckles. Thane grabs the files and then he and Me'Kel clean the file room a bit of their mess and make for her home. "Commander!" Thane barks as they leave through the back door, "Report anything even if it is remotely suspicious, to me or the other two elite directly, is that clear?" Thane orders. "Yes sir... immediately sir."He says as Me'Kel snatches the rouster and the two disappear out the back door.

Lysandor frowns and shakes his head. "It is nothing, and will do nothing to impede our mission."
Lysandor follows Rau, his stoic demeanor slipping back into place. It would not be at all wise for any form of weakness to be spotted, especially by a potential enemy.
"Lieutenant Worrek, what can we expect from him?" the Fallen Elite asks. "What were his usual duties?"

Rau nods to Lysandors remarks as he walks. Being a sentinel for so many years Rau takes Lysandors words at face value as he decides to trust the fidgety Elite for now. "Worrek is a fine officer." Rau talks up his junior officer, "He is still young but he is an exemplary scout. I feel he will be as cooperative as he can to help clear this up." Rau moves before the door to his junior officers home and knocks firmly. A young female Rachet answers the door. "Sentinel Rau, Master Elite..." She smiles looking stunned. Rau smiles at the young rachet girl, "Gra'Leah, May we speak with your husband Worrek... It is very important." She opens the door shyly and allows the Elite and Sentinel to enter. "Please make yourselves at home..." You notice the little home is modest but very tidy. "Gra'Leah... who is..." Worrek says as he walks into the main room. The warrior hound is in top shape and is as tall as Rau. "Sentinel Rau... Is there something I can do for you sir?" He says stunned.

Lysandor nods to Rau, taking in what the Rachet Elder says. He bows his head in greeting to Gra'Leah, and surrpitiously scans the room. Lysandor nods to Worrek as he enters the room.
"Lieutenant Worrek, we need only to ask you some questions," Lysandor replies, wasting no time in getting straight to the point. "There is no need for you to be nervous. I doubt there is anything you have done wrong."
The Elite waits for Worrek's reply before starting the questioning.

Worrek looks to Lysandor with a look of a deer in the headlights. "Okay..." He says nervously "Please sit" as he flops down onto his favorite of many floor pillows along the walls. "How can I be of service?" he asks nervously.

"N-no, nothing for me, thanks," Lye replies. She turns and sits in the proffered chair. There's something about that throne replica that is making her uneasy...nothing else in the house, even things that were even more expensive and extravagant, made her bat an eyelash, but this throne isn't just an expensive chair. Its design represents the ultimate power. This man isn't exactly a suspect, but he hasn't been ruled out. He desires power. He already tried to overthrow the ruler of his own people. And people are suffering from a mysterious malady. On the other hand, Falco is weakened at the moment. This throne can send a different message: he has the wealth to be king, but only in his own house. Lye decides that 'uneasy' is the word to use for now. She's not worried; the throne doesn't necessarily mean anything. The thing that is truly nagging at her, though, is what it could mean for the future...even if he's not doing anything now, what would he do at a future date? Would he ally with Hell's enemies if he was promised a place on the Throne of Hell?

"No... thanks." Winn says as he is ignored by the page boy when closes the door. Winn looks to Lye "Well that was certainly rude..." he says as he makes himself comfortable in the large chair. You aren't sitting for to long when a thumping can be heard coming down the hall and the wall behind the 'throne' opens.
Falco enters from the office behind the wall. The graying Rachet is regally dressed in a smart velvet coat with gold inlays, pressed black pants and a very beautiful cane he uses to walk with because of a very noticeable limp.
"Winn you old hound, what business brings you by my beautiful home today?" Falco's gravely voice reverberates off the small room. The tone in his voice displays his demeaning manner proving how he thinks of himself. Falco sits in the throne and lights a large pipe before he even acknowledges Lye's presence. "So Winn finding the simple pleasures in comely younger women these days I see." Falco says with piercing eyes, looking at the Elite watching for her reaction to his snide remarks. "Your taste has surely changed from the innocent, shy girls you use to spend your nights with all those years ago."

Lysandor sits down somewhat stiffly, keeping his gaze on Worrek.
"Do you recall what your duties were the day of Elder Brock's death?" Lysandor asks. "Take your time in answering."

'Quite a charmer, this one.' Her face hardens and the whisper of a glare shadows her eyes, but Lye still stands, puts on a rather nonconvincing fake smile, and extends her hand. "Greetings, Mr. Falco. I am Lye Violeteye, the Queen's Guardian. We have come here today to talk and ask some questions."

Worrek thinks for a moment and replies to Lysandor, "I was scouting the upper ridge when I found a set of tracks in the rocks." he says with a furrowed brow, "I followed the tracks for a kilometer or two down into the valley where the tracks stopped." Worrek scratches his ear and continues. "The tracks were unusual but the scent... the scent was unlike any I have smelled here... at our village... Shortly after is when Lord Brock's body was found... and the horns were sounded for all to return to the village, so I complied." he says looking puzzled.

"Can you describe how the tracks seemed unusual?" Lysandor asks. "Where were they leading, and why did they stop?"
