Regent peers into Ere's eyes as her request and he dives into her thoughts once more. He sees the route and he backs out quickly.
"That will do..." he says to the queen as he grasps Ciel and lifts her effortlessly from Ereskigal to his chest and cradles her little form to him like a wounded child.
He steps between the queen and Lysandor and the shadowy flames billow forth from his body and swallows them up like an explosion of darkness. The surge of energy blasts through them all as the remnants of reality streak and warp around them. A thunderous pop slams your ears and like the child's lullaby... life is just a dream.
Surreality overtakes the world and within a moment time stops as the world drifts by in the beautiful storm of the nether. The calming effect is soon interrupted with a jarring lurch as the storm expels them all from the void. The normal world greedily regains control swiftly and violently as gravity seizes them all again. Their weight feels massively intense making their innards feel like lead, muscles feel like jello and the blood burns like rivers of lava in over stressed veins. The world reshapes from the smear it once was and time again kicks in with real presence once more.
A flash of light and flame bursts around them and they now stand atop a gravel roof high above the city streets. The tower roof is covered in a thin layer of undisturbed snow. The frosty air swirls the light flakes of new snow that has started falling and they drift about as if all is right with the world.
"Is this the correct place your majesty?" Regent asks softly.

As soon as Lysandor can move, he staggers away from the group and violently throws up everything that had been in his stomach, even remnants of his breakfast the morning before sees the light of the world once more. His ears ring shrilly, combining with the dizzy disorientation to send a brief, but agonizing, arrow of pain through his head. Tears leak out of his eyes from the force of his vomiting, and he only stays on his feet by sheer force of will. When he's reduced to dry heaves, Lysandor staggers a few steps away from the mess he made and falls to his knees, coughing and still gagging. Lysandor wipes off his mouth with the back of a shaking hand, and glares at it. His glare is vastly weakened by the tears still spilling out of his eyes, the slightly green tint to his skin, and his trembling extremities.
"What in the name of all the unholy, damned saints just happened?" Lysandor demands hoarsely, punctuated by coughs and milder gags.

Regent smirks to Ereskigal and then he looks to Lysandor as he erupts. Regent then gently turns Ciel's head softly to the side as he cradles her next to himself should she also feel the need to spew. He then begins to do as he did for Lysandor as his fingers touch then softly penetrate Ciel's delicate skin to warm her from the inside. As he warms her shivering body he speaks up to answer the elite's question of their journey.
"That, Master Lysandor, was what is known as a dimensional jump. To others it is known as teleportation. Either way it is removing one from this reality and into another to bypass time and distance instantaneously. This method of travel has its quirks with solids... such as yourself...however, it's advantages to instantaneous travel are unparalleled. While leaving no trail to track us back our current whereabouts, pardon the parody, we leave our enemies out in the cold with no way to find us easily. This heavily outweighs the minor though unpleasant side effects of traversing the void you have just experienced.

Ereshkigal nods looking around, turning her face up so that snow flakes land on her skin. She seems a little more relaxed, and blinks tiredly.
"This would be it. I spend most of my time in the penthouse below us."
The exiled Queen watches with one hand pressed to her mouth to hide her smile as the stoic Elite looses his composure and the contents of his stomach. Her eyes dance with amusement above her hand.
"I remember the first time I created a portal... I was dizzy for a week afterward." She says sympathetically, getting slowly to her feet. She's little wobbly herself, though it might be more exhaustion than the teleportation. Still, she makes her way Lysandor and offers him a hand up.
"If you're ready, Elite, we can move somewhere more comfortable. "

Lysandor listens to Regent as he wrenches control of himself once more. He notices Ereshkigal hiding her smile, making his frown deepen throughout the informative lecture. After a few moments, he nods. "The advantages do indeed outweigh the side-effects . . . Though I would only use such a mode of transport in cases of extreme emergency."
Lysandor looks at her hand before taking it, using it more as a balance rather than to pull himself up. He sways slightly, closing his eyes, and looks like he might succumb to the effects of the jump. He manages to ride it through, and opens his eyes to look at Regent.
"The . . . symptoms will not last that long, will they?" he asks. Its very faint, and barely there, but his voice carries a vague note of unease and pleading.

Ciel stirs quietly in Regent's arms and moans a little moan of pain. She stops shivering as Regent warms her skin, but she's still shaking from everything. The bump on her head is throbbing and it takes her four or five tries to croak out that one tiny piece of speaking.
"M...my Queen? M-master Lysandor?"
Her eyes were half open and her arms laid limp. Even with her regenerative powers of the Leccubi, she was in pain. Even hearing her own croaky voice hurt her head. She kept her head turned the way Regent had turned it and stared at her love and the Elite with watery eyes.

Regent can't help but smile at Ceil's sad little voice. If he had a heart it would have broken right then for her. Instead he holds her softly till Ereshkigal has tended to the elite. Lysandors question makes him stop to think a bit before he answers. "I do not know the exact duration of the side effects, however, most seem to shake it off in an hour or so. It greatly depends upon the individual subject and their constitution for such things. The magnitude of the initial reaction from the jump experience varies from person to person."
He then removes his hand from Ciel as she feels warm to the touch now and he smiles to her. "There now my little hell blossom. We need to find you a quiet place for you to mend... a drop or two of blood for you to sup... and you will be right as rain once again."

Ereshkigal whirls around at the sound of Ciel's voice, and she moves as quick as she can to Regent and Ciel. She lays her cheek against the forehead leccubi's with a relieved sigh.
"I'm so glad you're awake, love. I was so very worried." She says softly, relaxing for just a moment. Then she moves away opening up the door off the roof with a rush of heated air.
"There's no need to stay up here."

Lysandor doesn't look comforted by Regent's words, in fact, his uncertainty worries the Elite more about the side-effects. However, all concern he has for his own well-being is washed away when Ciel wakes up and asks for Ereshkigal, and him.
He makes his way to Ciel, moving as quickly as he can but mindful of the disorientation he still feels. "Lady Ciel," he says softly, as soon as he arrives. "How do you feel? Are you well?"

Ciel's skin warmed, she smiled as Erishkegal put her forehead close.
When Lysandor got near, she snaked an arm up to touch his face. "Have I done something wrong? A-are any of you hurt because of my lack of fighting skill?"

Ereshkigal looks curiously from Ciel to Lysandor, a quick appraising in her eyes. Her eyebrows go up a little and she clears her throat. She sounds just a touch impatient.
"If the rest of you want to stay up here and freeze you can, I am going to go down and have some hot bloodwine." She makes a shooing motion at them, rather like they're children.

Regent nods and without a word he brushes by Ereskigal, careful not to bump Ciel and moves silently and fast through the heavy door.

Ciel snuggles back into Regent's chest. She whispers up to him, "May we ask Lysandor to stay with us Chancellor?"

"My injuries are minor, and will heal before the night's ending," Lysandor tells her softly, allowing a rare, true smile to grace his features before it disappears all too quickly. He steps away as Regent carries her to the door, falling in step behind him. He pauses slightly, as Ciel requests that he, too, join them inside.
The Elite looks down at himself. He is splattered with blood, gore, and bile, all but the last belonging to his enemies. He grimaces at his appearance.
"I am unfit to enter into any dwelling," he says. "I can remain outside to guard the door and keep watch for our foes."

Ereshkigal is still standing by the door. She looks at Lysandor her expression holding mixed emotions, one of them being a sharp sort of amusement. But she waits until Regent and Ciel are out of earshot down the stairs to say anything.
"Lysandor of the Elite, I believe I told you that I did not want to see you without Lady Ciel by your side, or she without you. Yet here you are still and I don't see her." Her tone is mild, her voice soft, and there's no anger in her eyes. She's just waiting for an answer.

Ciel stays snuggled into Regent's chest while all the while trying to see if Lysandor would consent to staying with them. She blearily looked around and then, getting slightly dizzy, closed her eyes and spoke to Regent again.
"Did I do well Chancellor? I do so apologize for following Master Lysandor...I...I merely wished to see her...if even for a short while..."

Regent smiles to Ciel as he enters Ere's apartment and he sets Ciel down in a comfortable seat softly and gently as he looks into her sleepy eyes. "Dearest Ciel, your compassion for our queen is no call for rebuke. Your skills have much improved under my guidance, I only hope that Queen Ereshkigal will see merit in your training and allow you to continue that path to enrichment you have so eagerly begun. I too am glad to have found her and was able to show her the next step to controlling her wild power. The empire is back in the hands where it belongs. I only regret that so much is left undone and that I must return to the shadows for the appropriate time to fulfill my destiny. It is she who commands your loyalty, my flower, for I am your master no longer."

Lysandor bows. "My apologies, Majesty . . . I did not wish to . . . to create a mess in your living." He motions to Ereshkigal. "I will follow, Majesty . . ."

Ereshkigal nods and moves down the stairs, glancing back once or twice to make sure he's following. She pushes open the door to the darkened penthouse apartment, the only light coming in from outside through the huge floor to ceiling windows. The kitchen is off to the left, and the only things in the living room are a few leather chairs, couches and ottomans grouped around a low burning fireplace. Four doors lead out of the living room- two on each side.
The exiled Queen moves into the kitchen wetting a towel at the sink and handing it to the Elite silently.
Then she moves swiftly to where Regent and Ciel are, her clothing shifting subtly as she moves to her royal gown, writhing along the hard wooden floor. She looks around at the three demons and raises a weary eyebrow.
"Now what?"

Regent looks very seriously to Ereskigal and he speaks low and pointedly. "You must return to Hell," He says with real mater of factually. "You must reassure your position and throne, and set right the tide of unrest your unfortunate exile has wrought upon the empire. She is dying. I cannot reset the events already set into motion, nor prevent its inevitable unraveling. I fear Hell has become... lost... without you, my queen." He says with conviction to his words accurately portraying the dire events happening in the underworld.
