Valentine's lips twitch and she stifles a giggle as Bardiel moves through the room. "Quite."
"And you do you think our elusive host is, Marquis?" She settles into a chair next to him, sweeping her skirts out of the way.

“Mysterious note. Haunted mansion. Shouldn’t run into those things straight away.” Kurt says as he peeks gingerly through the door. He whistles, impressed with the mansion’s interior as he make his way over to the others. “That’s what I have Bards for.”
“He keeps me in a box you know!” the bandaged Fallen calls out over the heads of the other guests. “All I have to sustain me is the ether of the universe!”
“What he means to say is; he drinks all my alcohol,” Kurt explains, grinding his teeth together as he takes a seat.

A familiar russet figure wanders in with his characteristic swagger, cloaked in power so as not to be noticed just yet. His violet eyes drift lazily about the room, drinking it in after his long absence. Faces both new and familiar unknowingly meet his gaze. A smile tugs the corner of his mouth at the return of certain memories as he slips through the crowd, sidling up to another unnoticed figure leaning against a shadowed column. "So, what think you of this little soiree' so far?" He asks as he languidly joins them in reclining on the column. He produces a goblet and an ornate dagger from...somewhere...places the dagger point down in the goblet, and fills it with blood. The figure smiles as he turns to look at his old counterpart, long brown hair tipped with curls whispering as it shifts over plain black clothing. The smile is older, wiser, but the face remains the same. "Hello, my Seducer. It's good to see you again too. I think they've been entirely too long without you. My fault, of course. You should feel free to enjoy yourself." An indistinct, lupine form in the darkness behind him makes unintelligible, resentful noises. "Silence, my Shadow, you may yet get your turn." The figure gestures at the room. "Well, Khan, you aren't likely to get a better dramatic entrance. Go ahead and let them know we're here." Erethkhaniel cracks an audacious trickster's grin, takes a large draught from his goblet, and lets the cloak shielding them from notice drop.

Lysandor opened his mouth to reply to Bardiel when he detected the sudden presence of... someone.
He turned, hands on his weapons, then paused for a moment.
"Lord Erethkhanial," he said, making it almost a question.
Jess turns to look the direct of Lys and grins. "Whoot! Heya, Kent!"

The Palace Guard captain turns with a slight frown. "Oh, wonderful. How many more are we expecting? And you people wonder why I can't keep you all safe..."

Roka, like Lysandor, moves for his weapons, ears flattened against his head and a snarl curling his lips. It is almost as though a complete change in personality has taken over the Kitsune Pe'ri for a split second - then he realizes just who he's trying to threaten and pulls back.
"Ah, Erethkhaniel-sama," he says, bowing and using the bow to straighten his weapons. "It seems that the invitations reached beyond the grave. First Ereshkigal-dono, now you." He rises from his bow and attempts a small smile. "I wonder if we shall be playing host to-" Roka stops, ears slanting back. "Er, that is to say, I mean... I-I wonder who will show up next."

Ciel's ears perked at the sudden movement, and then her nose crinkled... It couldn't be! She shadowed out to where the hubbub was, and when her smoke cleared, her face broke into the sweetest smile she could muster. "Master Khan! I have missed you!" She shadowed to wrap herself around his torso and locked her legs around his waist, reveling in his smell and his warmth. She was hugging him hard, but not enough to knock his drink out of his hand. She was hugging him like a friend who hasn't seen their best friend in a while and she was happy.
Karen looked over at the mention of Kent and she smiled and waved him over. "Hey ya hottie! Come sit with us and snuggles will be had!"

Becky grins and waves. "Oooh boy. Hi Kent! Yeah, you'd better come over here with us mortals before things get crazy. How have you been?"
The last bottle of drink slips from Ere's nerveless fingers to thud on the table as the she hears Khan's name spoken behind her. She spins as Ciel pounces on him. Her eyes dart to Lysandor for a moment before she looks back at Khan.
The queen bites her lip, grabs a cup of drink from the table and then makes her way to a chair. Away from the rest of the party, she takes a sip of her drink and a deep breath.

Valentine's eyebrows shoot up and she stiffens as Khan appears. Her eyes narrow. "Well this is interesting... not entirely unexpected." She stands, "Pardon me Your Excellency."
Valentine moves to where Ciel is snuggling Khan and taps her foot on the ground. "Lady Trakand. What in the name of the abyss do you think you are doing." She speaks in a mild voice, with little to no inflection. Then she nods slightly to Khan.
"My Lord King. You have been absent a long time. Welcome home. I speak for the Succubi in Queen Yarethkhania's stead." Her tone changes little and she tilts her chin up as she speaks, meeting Khan's eyes steadily.
(Note - did I spell that right? oh man it's been too long.)

Startled, Bardiel jumps high into the air before hitting to ground with a crash. He takes a short moment to inspect everyone’s reaction, having just enough time to assure his own safety before doubling over, barking laughter.
Whatever he grey haired fallen finds so funny is quickly forgotten when he traps a rolling bottle of drink under the heel of an armoured boot. He scoops it up and nudges Lysandor with an elbow “You know… I’m pretty sure I can see all the universe’s answers somewhere at the bottom of this bottle.”
With a sharp twist Bardiel sends the stopper flying before beginning the process of upending the entire bottle down his throat. Kurt can only manage to sink further into his seat and give Kent a friendly wave as red liquid sloshes from the corners of the fallen’s mouth.
Bardiel uses a wing to shepherd first Lysandor then Satarel toward the table. “Gentlemen, we have ourselves a mission! Wine? Wine!? Wine for the mind! Spirits for the soul!”

Khan raises his goblet a touch, tipping it slightly in Lysandor's direction, acknowledging his greeting and answering the unspoken question in his voice in one motion. He turns to Tybalt, a devilish look in his eyes "And whyever would you need to protect them from me?". His question is highlighted by Ciel suddenly appearing with her legs wrapped around him, which only makes his roguish grin widen. "It is always good to be missed by Deliciousness. How have you been, my sweet?" Though he is clearly genuinely enjoying his current situation, Erethkhaniel's eyes continually find subtle ways to track Ereshkigal's behavior and movements. A moment to catch one's breath. She deserves that much.
Kent/Gwydion observes with amusement as the reactions ripple through the room. He uncrosses his arms to give a sort of half-wave/half-salute to those who have greeted him, then places a hand on Khan's shoulder with a simple "Pace yourself.", heavy with multiple meanings, before pushing off the pillar. He looks behind him, a look of unspoken command on his face, then proceeds to join the other players. He smiles as he reaches Jess, giving her an enthusiastic hug and picking her up in the process. "Sorry it's been so long, my dear. How have you been? How have you all been?" he asks as he separates to give a crushing hug to Becky. "I've been doing pretty alright. Life is treating you well, I trust?" and then one to Karen, "I'll take that offer of snuggles."
Khan meets and holds Valentine's gaze, his grin never diminishing, his eyes smiling wickedly and deepening to the color of orchids. "Why, she's greeting her long-absent Master in a properly enthusiastic manner." he says as he absently runs a hand up Ciel's back to caress the nape of her neck. "I don't believe you and I ever really got the chance to get to know each other better, a woeful oversight I will have to remedy. I'd love to see what you're made of."

Ciel shivered and nipped at Khan affectionately. "We will, Master. I am simply happy that you've come home to us. Shall I hop down now?"
Karen chuckles and hugs Kent back. "I always love snugglin'!" She turns to watch the whole Khan thing and looks back to Jess. "Er...Is...Is Lys gonna be all right? He looks as though he's gonna bite his tongue off..."

Lysandor allows himself to be guided away by Bardiel, and keeps the hand closest to him free just in case he needs to catch the wayward Fallen.
Jess squeaks when squeezed. "I've been doing about as well as can be expected. Typing is easier with decent painkillers, so I'm trying to catch up on things I might've missed." She shrugs at Karen. "He's been... uncommonly present, if you get my meaning, these past few weeks. I think it's because he missed everyone, and doesn't want to admit it."

Tybalt raises a charcoal eyebrow. "I should hope you're not going to be so stupid as to try anything with the amount of Elite in the room. In any case, I was referring to the fact that no one gives me a guest list, announcement of venue, or any changes thereof." He sighs theatrically. "But then, why should they? After all, it's not like I'm here to protect them or anything!"

The Marquis glides up to the gathering of Leccubi and bows as is appropriate.
"Your Majesty Erethkhaniel," he purrs, a smile tugging at his lips and tail curling, "it has been too long since we have been graced with your presence. I believe I speak for all of us when I say this, but where have you been?" Illyon straightens. "There have been many changes since you've been gone, but I believe that, with our dear Ambassador Le'Noir's help, you shall be equal to the challenges ahead."

Khan gives Ciel a look of 'are you kidding?' before saying pleasantly "Of course not, my dear, it has been a considerable amount of time since I last enjoyed your company and closeness. I am of no mind to relinquish you so soon." To Tybalt, he tilts his head to the side and inclines it forward in a brief motion, his countenance expressing the same thing as his words: "Challenge accepted." Upon listening to Illyon's short speech, he breaks out in raucous laughter. "How proper you all are! Your graciousness is appreciated, but unnecessary. Of course I will be equal to the challenge! Like it or not, long absence or not, I AM the King of the Incubi for a reason!" He takes a long draught from his goblet, his other arm curling further around Ciel and sending waves of pleasure to course through her nerves, eyes practically scintillating with intensity in a dark joy that is part excitement, part eagerness, though for exactly what is unclear.

Sat allows himself to be guided away, throwing an arm around Bardiel's waist. "And I'm forgotten by the most beautiful woman in the room... But wine is always an excellent consolation, and it can't run off. Right, old bird?" He glances over at Lys and raises an eyebrow.
"Oh! What was that drinking song you taught me about the follies of women?" The Devilcat quips, his voice carrying across the room.

“Hmm yeah?” the towering fallen brings the neck of his now empty bottle up like a telescope, so that the world he views is tinted by a haze of dark glass. He gives the devilcat under his wing a knowing smile, obscured as it was by the newly acquired spyglass.
“Right you are! But wine’s a lot like women too,” Bardiel’s lips twist, but never quite reach his emerald eyes. “You spend enough time alone with either and you wake up next to a dead body with no clothes and a sore head!” He titters quietly to himself, the bandaged fingers of his free hand closing over another bottle. “What’s in this stuff anyway? No, on second thought don’t answer that, I need something stronger anyway.”
Using his improvised telescope Bardiel surveys the guests, head cocked to the side like an owl. “You know what we need? The kitsune people are veritable mini bar, but getting them to share is just as hard as getting them out of their clothes… or into your bed!” He glances sideways over at Lysandor as he swaps over bottles, his speech just beginning to slur, the corners of his mouth twitching “Wouldn’t that make a good drinking song Commander?”

Ciel purred and glanced at Lys, hoping to catch his eyes for a moment. Just because Khan was home didn't mean.... She simply wanted him to know that his place in her heart was secure.
Karen nodded and threw an arm around Kent. "I hear ya there. Ever since this move up North, we've just been trying to keep on top of the water. Which is somewhat easier when one of us has a great job." She chuckled and squeezed Kent's middle. "I, on the other hand, am still having issues."

"'Nine Ways to Die,'" Lysandor replies, his expression - as always - bland. He holds a hand up to Satarel. "And please, do not start singing it. I have heard actual dying cats that sound more melodic than you."
He turns to Bardiel. "I believe there is already a drinking song of that nature. It is in the Kitsune language, but it is essentially about the qualities of a good woman - one of them being, as you put it, a veritable mini-bar."
Jess glances over at the trio by the table and rolls her eyes at Kurt. "Great, the Fallen are talking about booze and singing. We've lost them for the evening." She snickers. "Hey, what do you call a sober Fallen?" She waits a beat. "Hungover."
