I tried to give Bardiel a girlfriend. It didn't work out so well. A victim of unrequited love *manly tear* Dunno if I'll bother to use this. Maybe it'll just be some context for the character. Gives him a real reason to go into the abyss and that whole love-hate-manipulate thing he seems to have going on. ***
A shadow drips from the fallen's golden face. “Your...” his struggling ceases, the tall creature wilting as if warmed from within by calm. “Your alive,” he breaths, his eyes and voice softened by a relief so profound that it hurt to believe in. “I'm so...” the crooked fallen fights as he tries to speak around the heart caught in his throat “... happy.” Bardiel smiles then, a small painful smile “I had heard that you died. Christ...” the former angel closes it's sleepless eyes, reeling from an unidentified emotion “... Are you happy? Is he treating you well?” a shallow, humourless laugh escapes his cracked lips “Of course he is. You know, I'm happy about that too. But... It's just not Heaven up there for me without you... Err...” the winged man quickly catches himself and glances away, silently cursing his damned words. “I saw your daughter the other day. Every bit as beautiful as you. And strong. A free spirit.” Bardiel's grime streaked face blooms with genuine affection. “I heard you two were having another. You both must be so proud.” "... Who is it you think I am?"

Gooo thanks. It's hard to make people sad with short little stories. It's a pity it's so easy to do otherwise.

With Bard as a master, some days are better then others... More a rant than anything. Didn't know where else to throw it.
“Why betray Heaven I asked? They told me; 'He'd gone mad with love'. I didn't understand, I still don't. So I wrapped my hands around her throat.” His hands tighten as he shakes the body by it's neck, back and forth like a rag doll. “Yes just like that. I said; 'Do you love him? Hey, hey, tell me. What is it?' But she didn't know... No matter how hard I squeezed, she never told me. They built me like this you know? Made me this way... put me on a leash. But I kept on breaking their chains...” The fallen's silhouette begins to fray at the edges, unravelling into chaotic snarl as the corpse slips through his fading fingers. “...I told her my name was Bardiel...” he says with breath being overtaken by fear, watching fervently as impossible colours spread their rot up the length of his arms “...but I'll tell you a secret. I lied.” Something vast stirs within eyes suddenly glazed over with a murky raw bliss. “That bastard's quite dead.” he giggles, barely able to penetrate the haze of euphoria which radiated from his chest like the spinning points of a broken compass . “Hey 'Ti!” the twisted fallen calls, black snow flakes pouring from his mouth. “Where are you?”
The downpour of crystalline spears begun striking the earth like thunder, throwing glittering shrapnel and bolts of lightning into the painted sky. “I was just kidding... Wasn't really going to kill you... Please... Don't leave me alone with myself.”
