How Character Approval Works
First, read the Rules and FAQ to know what is and isn't allowed in the game. The Races of the QoD are listed in the Player's Guide board ( rpgqod.proboards.com/thread/16/races ), and can help you flesh out your character concept. You can also look through the character sheets of similar characters, but this is not necessary.
Character creation requires attention to detail, so don't be afraid of writing too much on your character sheet, and don't be afraid if you feel your character sounds dull. It is in play that your character comes to life and reveals their personality and style. As you play your character, you will also get to know them better, and can update your character sheet whenever you like.
You can find the Basic Character Sheet here: rpgqod.proboards.com/thread/12/basic-character-sheet
Once you have filled out your character sheet, send it via e-mail to the GM at: beware_the_short_one@yahoo.com
You can register your account on the board once you have sent your character sheet to the GM. However, as with characters, accounts must be approved by the GM before you can play.
The GM will look over your character sheet. If she has any questions or concerns, she will contact you. Often, she will have information not readily available in the Races thread to add to your character sheet (such as powers or weaknesses). She will consult with one to two veteran Players regarding your character sheet to ensure that an unbiased decision is made.
Once your character has been approved for a Mini-Quest (more below), she will accept your account on the board and get with you in regards to how you would like your character to be introduced. It can take a few days for a Mini-Quest to be set up, so please be patient. While your character cannot participate in any board threads, they are more than welcome to participate in OOC threads in the OOC section of the board.
